When users ask to download Advanced IP Scanner via Bing, the AI responds with a link to download the utility. But when you click on this link, an ad first appears and only after that a legal download link appears. In some cases, these sponsored links are malicious ads that promote malware.

The full payload of this malicious campaign is not yet known, but similar campaigns in the past have allowed attackers to compromise accounts or corporate networks by distributing information-stealing malware or remote access Trojans.

Users are advised to be careful and check the legitimacy of download links to avoid possible malware infection.
