There were many posts about this issue on the Reddit platform. It turned out that the reverse wired charging feature introduced in the iPhone 15 series may sometimes not work as desired.

Instead of charging the iPhone, the power bank starts drawing power from the smartphone’s battery.

One user discovered that the Anker PowerCore Slim 10k PD external battery connected to the iPhone 15 was not charging the phone, but was being charged from it. Anker representatives confirmed that the problem goes away if you use the USB-A port for charging.

They also stated that they tested all their batteries to detect and fix this defect.
