The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation fined Pochta Bank 500,000 rubles for violating advertising legislation, the department said in a statement.
The credit institution, when announcing the “Guaranteed Rate” option, indicated in large print information attractive to consumers about the interest rate on the loan starting from 4%, but information about the conditions that affect the cost of the loan and the possibility . participation in the promotion was written in an illegible font, explains the FAS.
The Antimonopoly Agency considered that in this way consumers received incomplete information about all the conditions of the promotion, which determined the cost of the loan.
In 2023 for a similar violation of the FAS fined Otkritie for 300 thousand rubles and Sber for 600 thousand.
