Images of Intel’s new processor series confirming the details of the Raptor Lake update are published by stores in Asia. The three 14th-gen Core models are 6.0GHz 24-core, 5.6GHz 20-core, and 5.3GHz 14-core CPUs.

Even without mentioning their exact names, Intel Japan’s slides confirm the series configuration and reveal the key specifications of the Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5 processors. Besides, official ads prove the 6GHz clock speed and 24-core configuration.

There are also two product SKUs (product identification codes) that feature 20-core 5.6GHz and 16-core 5.3GHz. All information is compatible with Raptor Lake 14900K, 14700K and 14600K models.

i9-14900K will not be a special edition

Unlike previous models, Core i9-9900KS and Core i9-12900KS, The new i9-14900K will not have the KS suffix, which means it is not a special edition. Although it is not a binned version, it is capable of reaching 6 GHz45 boost frequency.

Another paradoxical piece of information that less can mean more is that the new model, 125W, is lower than the TDP (Thermal Design Power) of the i9-13900KS, which is 150W.

Since it is unlikely that Intel will release a model with less overclocking capability. less reduction in heat generating capacity may indicate greater energy efficiency.

Another feature that fully “met” expectations was the new Intel Core i7 14700K1 desktop processor, which will reach 20 cores with the addition of four more working units.

Prices of the new Intel series, which is expected to be released on October 17, have not been confirmed yet.
