To start sales, Starlink is waiting for its pricing policy to be approved by the Indian regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority. If the document is accepted by the end of the year, the company will be able to offer satellite internet to users at the beginning of 2026.
According to plans, Starlink is building at least ten satellite gateways across India; this is more than three times that of rivals Space Fiber (Reliance Jio) and OneWeb (Eutelsat Communications). Three ground stations are already ready in Mumbai, which will be the company’s India headquarters.
