The redesigned OneDrive web app now more closely matches the Windows 11 experience and the latest Office app updates. Notable additions include an AI-powered “For You” file suggestions section that highlights work-related files regardless of their location (OneDrive, Teams, or elsewhere).

Users can now make collaboration more visible by customizing folder colors. Also starting in December, OneDrive will allow users to open various types of documents, including CAD and PDF files, directly in their desktop applications. The media menu will combine all your photos and videos for easier access. These improvements will also extend to Microsoft Teams and the file navigation section of Outlook.

In the near future, Microsoft plans to integrate its artificial intelligence system Copilot into OneDrive, which will provide daily summaries of document changes and comments intelligently organized by context and relevance.
