In January-September 2023, 16 new foreign brands appeared on the Russian market. This is a record figure in the last four years: there were more only in 2019, when 26 new brands were launched in the Russian Federation, RBC writes.
Most of the brands came from Turkey (Nerwork, Loft, Mudo, etc.) and Belarus (Comintern, Swed House, Pizhon). This year, brands from Estonia (BonBon Lingerie), South Korea (Inni), Australia (2XU) and Kyrgyzstan (Ayal) also began operating in the Russian market.
From the beginning of August to September 3, the average check in fashion retail stores in Moscow increased by 10% and attendance by 3% year-on-year. The dynamic is mainly due to the increase in prices. Experts say that the current dynamics indicate a gradual return to the normal functioning of the shopping center: today the buyer came to search, and tomorrow he will buy the goods.
