Roskachestvo reported an increase in the number of fake accounts on dating services Likeyou, MeetMe, OkCupid, Plenty and others. According to the department, these accounts are controlled by GPT robots.
“Voice cloning, image imitation, deepfakes in criminal schemes: this is a list of possibilities that are already used for deception purposes in Western countries. The wave is also reaching Russia,” says the organization.
The algorithms behave naturally and some users do not notice the problem. At the same time, the robot actively collects personal information, Roskachestvo said in a statement.
To protect yourself in the virtual space, they advise “being attentive, turning to reliable sources of information and following the development of information technologies.”
Previously, the SciMatch application was known, which uses artificial intelligence technology and finds the ideal selfie partner.
