Following the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia, more and more manual workers refuse to apply for self-employment. With an overall steady increase in specialists, the number of artisans who do not want to apply for “self-employed” status has increased 1.5-fold, according to a study by the service company Gorserv.
The company’s experts studied the dynamics of the number of self-employed among new service masters for the month in the period September 21 – October 21 and compared it with the same period before the date of the announcement of partial mobilization (August 20 – September 20) . It turned out that the number of those who register on the platform, but then refuse to apply for self-employment (Gorserv does not work with teachers without this status), has increased by 1.5 times.
“According to our surveys, the most common reason why foremen refuse to apply for self-employment is a change of place of residence. The second most popular is the reluctance to be visible to government agencies,” Gorserv marketing director Olga Sigida said.
Most often they refuse to formalize the official tax regime in the Central Federal District (53% growth) and in the Urals (50%). The second and third places were taken by the North-Western and Volga Federal Districts, where the number of foremen who do not want to apply for the status of “self-employed” increased 1.4 times (by 44% and 43%, respectively ).
Gorserv is a digital enterprise resource management platform that allows you to monitor full-time employees and freelancers. The company operates on the “service market” model.
The number of self-employed in Russia as of October reached 5.8 million people.
