The number of dollar billionaires in the world increased by 12% during the year. Henley & Partners analysts counted 28.4 thousand people whose wealth exceeds 100 million dollars; almost half of them live in the United States. In Moscow there are only $205 billionaires.
Analysts at Henley & Partners and New World Wealth have calculated the number of billionaires. The data is reflected in their joint report.
In 2022, the number of dollar billionaires, people whose wealth exceeds 100 million dollars, increased by 12% and amounted to 28.4 thousand people.
38% of all dollar billionaires live in the United States. There are 775 people in New York, 692 people in the San Francisco Bay Area and 504 in Los Angeles.
Among the leading cities in terms of the number of billionaires living in them is London (388 people), which was the only UK city on the list. Among the cities with the highest number of billionaires are also Beijing, Shanghai and Singapore.
205 dollar billionaires live in Moscow. According to analysts’ rankings, the Russian capital ranks 17th in terms of the presence of billionaires in dollars.
