Russian archaeologists, together with their Kazakh colleagues, found rock paintings made between the 10th and 19th centuries in the Taldura River region.

According to Yaroslav Frolov, director of the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of Altai Altai State University, there is a trace of a Turkish mask in the drawings.

Additionally, Yaroslav Frolov added that it is difficult to date the petroglyphs accurately, as they may belong to both the Middle Ages and ethnographic periods.
