Czech game studio Bohemia Interactive, developer of Arma 3, issued a statement condemning this use of materials in their games. According to them, there are signs that can help identify a fake: low video resolution, unnatural smoke, fire and dust behavior, lack of movement of people in the video; These are elements that are often inaccurately depicted in video games.

BBC correspondent Shayan Sardarizadeh, an expert on online disinformation, also highlighted cases where Arma 3 videos were fraudulently distributed as if they were real.

Bohemia Interactive advocates working with media and fact-checking organizations to effectively combat the spread of fake news.
