Wildberries is introducing a new rule that guarantees compensation to sellers if their products have been replaced since October 16. The purpose of this measure is to ensure that in the event of fraud, platform partners do not need to take any action to receive compensation.
Wildberries employees collect information about the product at every stage of its movement, making it possible to identify substitutes. If a change is detected, the seller will be refunded the full cost of the product calculated by deducting the normal customer discount and commission from the current price on the day the incident was detected. This amount will be reflected in the financial report as “goods replacement compensation”. However, the product itself will not be refunded and money will be transferred to the seller’s balance within 30 days after the change is detected. This period is necessary for a thorough investigation of the incident by Wildberries experts.
Company representatives emphasized that they maintained an open dialogue with the partners and discussed the terms of cooperation with them. These updates to the rules regarding the provision of compensation for substitutions aim to maintain fair and transparent relations between Wildberries and its partners.
