According to Reuters, NVIDIA has already started development, and this could be a major impetus for Microsoft to expand its work on the ARM version of Windows. Both graphics card manufacturers are expected to launch their SoCs for PCs by 2025.
Note that so far Microsoft has only collaborated with Qualcomm to create versions of Windows 11 for ARM chips.
And on the eve of Qualcomm’s imminent announcement of a new processor based on this technology, new information has appeared. That’s right, this model, known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be designed for smartphones, not computers.
By joining Qualcomm in creating processors, AMD and NVIDIA will increase the pressure on Intel to deliver competitive solutions that can match Apple’s M1 and M2 chips.
