Audio and video calling functionality is available on the social network X (formerly Twitter), The Verge writes. Previously, the owner of the company, Elon Musk, announcing the innovation, shared plans to make the social network an “effective global address book.”

Video and audio calling now available on X

Some users of the platform began to receive a notification “Audio and video calls are here!” There’s also now a special toggle available in Settings that lets you enable the feature and then choose who to use it with.

To start a call, you need to open your personal messages, click on the phone icon in the upper right corner and select the call format. Call access can be restricted for different users.

As it became known at the end of September, calls to X will only be available to users with a Premium subscription.
