This view contrasts with Microsoft’s recent prediction that Arm’s share of the PC market will grow from 14% to 25% by 2027. Gelsinger’s view is also quite different from the philosophy of former Intel CEO Andy Grove.
Despite his assessment, Gelsinger stated that Intel Foundry Services is open to collaborating with chip manufacturers to produce Arm-based chips, underlining Intel’s strategic partnership with Arm, which it announced earlier this year.
