The twelfth package of EU anti-Russian sanctions will affect the ban on diamond imports and the issuance of software licenses, Bloomberg has learned. The agency estimated the volume of planned restrictions at $5.3 billion and should be published in the near future.
Bloomberg learned the details of the twelfth package of anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union. The European Commission should approve its content and publish the document in the near future, the agency writes.
The next package of restrictions, the total volume of which is estimated at $5.3 billion, could include a ban on exporting technologies and equipment used for military purposes to Russia. In addition, sanctions may be imposed on the import of diamonds and the issuance of licenses for foreign software.
The EU is also discussing introducing restrictions on more than 100 natural persons and 40 legal entities.
The agency notes that the goal of the 12th sanctions package is to deprive Russia of the ability to circumvent previously imposed sanctions through third countries.
