This new chrysanthemum will be presented at the exhibition of decorative and applied arts of the peoples of Russia, dedicated to National Unity Day.

Breeders have developed several new chrysanthemum varieties that are adapted to Russia’s humid subtropics and can grow indoors and in other regions. The variety “Victory” attracts attention with its beauty, it has bronze daisy-shaped inflorescences that bloom at the end of October, and delights the eye by blooming throughout November.

According to the author of the variety, Lyudmila Yakushina, it was sent to the State Varietal Commission for registration. This is an important step in the process of bringing diversity into widespread use.

Selection studies with plants such as chrysanthemum make it possible to develop domestic production of flowers and decorative products. Currently, many foreign varieties of garden chrysanthemums are grown in Russia. Ongoing breeding research and the creation of new varieties adapted to local conditions contribute to the diversity and availability of flower crops for Russian citizens.
