I haven’t changed many phones in my entire life, but I have used both Apple and Android products. In general, I admit honestly, the acquisition of the treasured iPhone was once upon a time mine. blue dream.

True, I didn’t really understand the characteristics of phones, so I wanted it solely because of its appearance and a good camera (such a woman moment). By the way, it is still believed that iPhones still outperform their economists in design.

In general, my blue dream came true and I got an iPhone. True, I spent only a couple of years with it, after which I again successfully switched to Android smartphones. Why?

I explain:

1. iPhone starts taking photos earlier

Take a closer look. Do you see the difference?

After a few months of using the iPhone 5S, I noticed that the quality of the photos had noticeably deteriorated. In general, it seemed as if the number of megapixels in the camera miraculously disappeared with each update.

At service centers, workers shrugged their shoulders in unison and said that the device was absolutely working. Two years later, the iPhone was filmed as average as a statistical budget Samsung.

In defense of the Apple device, I can say that some Android smartphones also have this problem. However, it always seemed to me that iPhones should “keep the bar,” and I bought it for myself precisely because I was confident in the impeccability of its operating system.

But despite this, when I switched to Android, I still looked at iPhones because of their camera. Because even taking into account the quality that decreases over time, I always liked photos on the iPhone more.

And all this continued until my acquaintance with the Google Pixel, a camera that, in my opinion, is at least on par with the disabled iPhone.

Only Google Pixel has no problems with unexpected photo images.

2. Difficulty installing application components

Sound familiar? Has it happened?

A trivial example: a little over a year ago, TikTok was “turned off” in Russia, but those devoted to global fashion initiatives allowed them to use this social network as before.

All my friends with Android smartphones were able to install this modification for themselves without any hassles and calmly watch the videos further. But users of iPhones to connect to TikTok, for example, had to “dance dances with tambourines” – pull out SIM cards or endlessly reinstall Scarlet when it crashes.

And the point here is not at all about TikTok, but about the fact that, in principle, it is difficult to install something extraneous on an iPhone. And in general, the iPhone has a lot of limitations out of the blue.

The most “secure” operating system simply does not allow you to download anything from unofficial sources. On the one hand, this is the user console, but for me it’s just inconvenient.

3. It is impossible to connect a memory card.

iPhone owners, do you recognize these things to increase the memory of your smartphone?

The memory on my iPhone ran out after about a year of using the device. Because of this, the phone began to glitch terribly; I did not have the opportunity to transfer all the files to the laptop.

More precisely, there was a laptop, but it worked on a different radiating system and did not want to be “friends” with the phone at all.

Here one could say: “And I was on a MacBook, everything worked!” But I didn’t see the point in exchanging a new laptop that suited me for a Mac just to successfully transfer photos from device to device without using clouds and other “crutches.”

This problem was solved immediately after switching to Android. After all, the iPhone does not, has never had and most likely will not have the ability to use additional card memory.

4. Oh, that Lightning

This is actually one of the most annoying things for me. Yes, the iPhone 15 already has a standard connector. Yes, Apple has already moved on from its old chargers. But this problem was solved quite recently, and most iPhone users still operate using simple models.

At one time I damaged the original cable (which, in addition to this, was also very fragile) and was forced to buy an original cable from Apple, which was obscenely expensive.

I understand why the manufacturer produces phones with such “exclusive connector“, but, in my opinion, this siphoning of money from the user is a very unpleasant and repulsive situation. In addition, the Lightning’s charging port has long been mentally tired in terms of throughput.

5. All my Android devices

In the end, all my equipment: phone, laptop, smart watch – all on the built-in Android system.

Therefore, now it simply makes no sense for me to switch to an iPhone, since it will not be “friends” with each other. Or it will be, but with some compliance with restrictions, the impossibility of using all 100% of the capabilities of non-Apple headphones and smart bracelets.

6. I’ll be honest: the price is steep.

For my phone they usually serve as a “dialer” and a “photo camera”, I just don’t use any cool communication features, because advanced geeks buy equipment from Apple for considerable sums. I get by just fine without iCloud, since I don’t have a MacBook, I don’t need the Apple ecosystem, and I don’t think it’s reasonable to spend money just to be “in trend.”

For me personally, the price of the iPhone is unreasonably high. Although this, of course, is a personal matter for everyone and their budget. I know that someone buys Apple devices precisely in order to “play” with its capacitor functions or grab it in front of others, but this story does not concern me.

Therefore, I see no point in buying a phone for 100+ thousand.

Conclusions. I stay on Android and I feel good

For now, I choose Android smartphones for myself. But this is not that I do not respect Apple technology; after all, this manufacturer in the world of technology means a lot of innovations and trends.

Maybe in the future I will change my mind and even buy myself the latest iPhone. But for this, Apple must radically reconsider its attitude towards the secrecy of its operating system, attach card memory to the device slot, and generally become more loyal to its users.

This is unlikely to happen in the near future, of course. That’s why I stay on Android and feel comfortable. Well, if someday a miracle happens and a new iPhone appears in my hands, I will definitely share my impressions of use and review the device.
