YouTube will launch on November 20 chapter For You with an individual selection of videos for each user. The feature was tested for a couple of months. It is similar to TikTok’s mechanism: videos will be suggested based on viewing history.
Before launch, YouTube asked content authors to configure section settings. They will be able to determine whether long videos, short videos or broadcasts will be shown there. Additionally, authors may include all publications or only the most recent ones. This will help you more precisely tailor your offers to your audience’s preferences.
YouTube will no longer show recommendations to users who have disabled browsing history. Only the search bar and side menu will remain on the main page. The changes began rolling out on August 8 and will roll out to all users within a few months. The company explained that the feature is aimed at those who prefer to search for videos instead of seeing recommendations.
