An artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory will appear in Yakutia. Regional authorities signed a tripartite memorandum with Sberbank and Northeast Federal University (NEFU). This was reported to RB.RU by the bank’s press service.
The laboratory will solve problems in the field of climate change, health, security and social and humanitarian technologies. It will become part of a network of artificial intelligence centers dedicated to the promotion and development of artificial intelligence technologies.
Among the future goals of the laboratory is the digitalization of the entire economy using all the capabilities of artificial intelligence, noted the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev.
At the end of 2022, Yakutia became the leader in volume exports of IT services in the Far East and entered the top ten regions of the Russian Federation in terms of digital maturity.
