The Moscow Exchange announced the launch of futures trading for the Moscow Exchange Index on November 14, the first perpetual futures contract on the site’s derivatives market.

The new financial instrument will allow investors to invest in shares of the most liquid Russian companies, the press service of the Moscow Stock Exchange reported. Unlike classic futures contracts, the new futures will not require a renewal of the contract.

The contract will be traded under the code IMOEXF with a price increase of 0.5 points and a price increase cost of 5 rubles. The volume of the contract will be about 30 thousand rubles with a planned enrichment rate of 20%. The settlement price of the contract will be determined by the values ​​of the Moscow Stock Exchange index.

The Moscow Exchange began trading the first perpetual futures in April 2022. Currently, the site trades three perpetual futures contracts for currency pairs and one for gold.
