VTB created its banking application specifically for the native Aurora operating system. The new service is currently being tested and will last until mid-2024. The VTB Online prototype includes several useful functions, such as transfers and payments, payment by QR code, searching for ATMs and branches via geolocation, as well as updating the profile through “Government Services” and dark theme support.
In the near future, VTB will become the first Russian bank accessible through Aurora, a domestic operating system with the necessary certificates for reliable operation. This will allow customers to use VTB Online through hybrid web technology, giving them the option to interact with the bank through the channel most convenient for them. VTB board member Svyatoslav Ostrovsky emphasized the importance of providing customers with the opportunity to choose a convenient way to interact with the bank.
