Saudi Arabia He’s already working on The Line in the middle of the desert, and now he’s surprising again with another rarity: a series of skyscrapers in an arid Arab nation.

The project, called Epicon, will center around two futuristic towers that are meant to resemble a desert mirage and that, from a distance, look like Robotech’s Macross SDF-1 mothership.

Epicon will be located in the Gulf of Aqaba, which is located at the northern tip of the Red Sea.

The smaller of the two skyscrapers will rise to a height of 225 m (about 740 ft), while its taller neighbor will rise to 275 m (900 ft). Inside, they will house a luxury hotel space with a terrace with a swimming pool and other expected amenities such as a gym, library, workspaces and lounges.

Not far from the two skyscrapers, there will be a third, smaller tower (its expected height is not yet known), which will become a beach resort and will accommodate more accommodations and hotel services. It will also include significant vegetation and create many decks and patios. In addition, the complex will feature 45 residential beach villas that will blend into the desert landscape.

“Designed as a gateway to the future, Epicon offers an escape from the stresses of everyday life,” lead developer Neom said in a press release. “Whether you’re relaxing at the Beach Club, visiting the spa for personalized wellness treatments, exploring the natural surroundings, participating in one of the many water sports or dining at the restaurants for an unforgettable culinary experience, Epicon is designed to meet the full range of needs of guests and residents.

“A very attractive tourist destination and an optimal place to live and prosper. Visitors and residents of Epicon can look forward to a truly immersive and life-affirming experience. “The luxury residences and beach villas are designed to offer a new standard of living through cutting-edge innovation, world-class services and world-class experiences, positioning the resort as the benchmark for an iconic lifestyle.”
