A new study published in the journal BMC Medicine reveals that eating hazelnuts for breakfast helps improve heart health. A team of scientists found that replacing one egg with a handful of nuts reduced the chances of developing cardiovascular disease by 17%. Hazelnuts also protect against diabetes (18%) and premature death (15%).
Scientific review states that you should replace eggs with about 25-28 grams of nuts to reap the health benefits. But this does not mean that you need to completely abandon eggs: they also provide some benefits to the body.
