Samsung confirmed this One UI 6 will be available in Brazil starting from December this year. In a note sent to the press, the company announced that the expected version of the update will reach devices in the Galaxy S23 series first.
“One UI 6 will start being updated in Latin America in December with the Galaxy S23 series. The update for other Galaxy products will follow: roll outBy early 2024, where applicable,” Samsung wrote.
All of Latin America was excluded from the One UI 6 testing period, so Samsung’s announcement is major news. Although Samsung has not released an official schedule so far, Brazilian consumers can rest assured that they will receive the update without too much delay.
Internationally, One UI 6 has been available for distribution since the end of October. The update reached the Galaxy S23 in some European countries, and after a while it was also made available for the Galaxy A family and foldable models in the United States.
Samsung’s announcement confirms that the company will follow a similar timeline to last year’s One UI 5. The package started arriving in the country between November and December 2022.
What’s new in One UI 6
One UI 6 is Samsung’s latest software built on top of Google’s Android 14. This system, released in October this year, offers new features that even the Gigante das Buscas system does not have.
New features include a quick actions panel, system font, native widgets, control gestures on the home screen, photo editing tools, and a detailed section for battery monitoring.
Stay tuned for updates
There are only a few days left until December begins, so the tip is to pay attention to system notifications. It’s worth running manual scans to find the update in the coming weeks. To do this, go to: Settings > Software update.
