A new photo taken on an iPhone 12 has gone viral on the Internet.

It shows the bride (British actress Tessa Coates) picking out her wedding dress. The problem is that her position changes both in life and in reflections.

Coates herself stated that the photo turned out this way due to the algorithms of the iPhone camera. She did not take a panorama or Live Photo, and this is not Photoshop.

However, experts doubt the actress’s statements. Thus, a blogger from the iPhonedo channel came to the conclusion from the meta-learned original photographs that, most likely, the photo was taken in panorama mode.

The main camera of the iPhone 12 takes pictures in a resolution of 4516×3874 pixels, and its photo is 3028×3948 pixels. This is not possible unless you photograph in panoramic mode.

It all happened that her hands were lowered, but she moved her hand. Maybe she raised her right hand first and then held it back. Meanwhile, the camera was in panoramic mode and she was stitching it all together.

Writer David Imel stated that HDR on phones captures 5-7 frames with split-second shutter speeds. And here is the result.

What are your guesses? Why did you get such an unusual photo? [9to5]
