Wildberries marketplace has developed WB Stream, its own video conferencing and webinar service. The company could invest up to 100 million rubles in the launch and development of the service, writes Vedomosti.

Wildberries has developed an analogue of Zoom

In WB Stream you can communicate via video and audio, exchange messages in chat, show participants the device screen, and audio record an online meeting.

The development was carried out by market specialists. Now up to 5 thousand people can simultaneously connect to the service. The company plans to provide access to WB Stream to all users in the future.

According to a company representative, Wildberries does not plan to introduce advertising into this service, charge fees for its use, or monetize the development in any other way.

At the beginning of 2023, mobile traffic of foreign video conferencing platforms decreased significantly, while Russian services showed notable growth, MTS analysts noted. Popular domestic platforms include Webinar Group, Yandex Telemost and VK Calls.
