MTS analyzed the interest of subscribers in the “Single Number” device, launched in October of this year.
It allows you to autonomously use smart watches with eSIM for calls without being tied to a smartphone. The operator’s subscribers have the opportunity to use voice services during the hours provided for by current legislation.
According to the operator, 69% of clients using this service in Moscow and the region own Huawei watches.
The most popular model among Single Number users was Huawei Watch 4 Pro (36% of all connections). Next come Huawei Watch 3 Pro Classic and Watch 3 with 16% and 9% of connections, respectively.
Samsung accounted for 31% of connections. Of these, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the leader (7%). Also in the top three popular models are Samsung: Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Galaxy Watch 4 (6% each).
In Moscow, interest in inventions is growing simultaneously with sales of smart watches, MTS notes. From January to October 2023, 533 thousand devices were sold in the capital and region for a total amount of 7 billion rubles. This is an increase of 36% in numbers and 16% in money in terms of the same period last year.
It is planned that in 2024 the service will be launched in other regions of Russia.
