Digital Foundry experts analyzed the video to understand whether we are really seeing the gameplay graphics of Rockstar Games’ new game.
Although experts are not 100% sure that the graphics in the game will be the same as those shown in the trailer, they state that there are strong reasons to believe that the scenes shown were rendered in the game engine.
One of the most important signs is the image quality that does not reach native 4K, as well as the characteristic scaling artifacts inherent in AMD FSR technology.
Also, the attention of experts was drawn to the hair of the characters, which they considered unrealistic, as if the video was created on a powerful computer. This suggests that the trailer will likely showcase graphics rendered on game consoles.
Digital Foundry also suggests that GTA 6 may not have a performance mode due to the high graphics quality, and some compromises in ray tracing are also expected.
This is especially true for the Xbox Series S version of the game, which is likely to experience a significant downgrade compared to other platforms.
Let us remind you that the release date of GTA 6 is planned to be 2025, and so far only PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles have been specified as the target platform.
