A Moscow court refused to arrest in absentia Tanuki founder Alexander Orlov, who was placed on the international list of wanted persons in a criminal case for causing property damage. The amount of this damage amounted to 20 million rubles, Orlov paid it in full, the lawyer said.

The court did not heed the request of an investigator from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to arrest in absentia the founder of the Tanuki and Ersh networks, Alexander Orlov. This was reported by TASS with reference to the judge’s decision.

Alexander Orlov has been on the international list of wanted persons since November 20 in a criminal case for material damage, the value of which is estimated at 20 million rubles. Orlov paid the damage in full, his lawyer previously stated.

The restaurateur’s lawyer also clarified that Orlov is abroad on business and is willing to return to Russia to testify, but has not received a subpoena. Orlov was reported to be in London.
