One in eight Russians plans to open their own business in 2024. Citizens under 35 years of age have a greater desire to start a business than other age groups. Izvestia writes about this with reference to IFORS Research.

One in eight Russians dreams of opening their own business in 2024

60% of citizens dream of achieving fulfillment in this way, another 49% want to earn more and 39% do not want to depend on their employer.

48% of respondents do not start their own business for fear of losing money, 38% do not trust their own strengths and knowledge, and 29% do not have an idea for a business.

IFORS Research has been conducting research since February 2020 across Russia, with 1,600 respondents over the age of 18 answering questions in each wave. The seventh wave of the study was carried out in November-December 2023.
