A 17-year-old student popped it this Tuesday (18) homemade bomb inside the classroom from a high school in a commune of Santiago, Chile, injuring at least 14 colleagues. Sergio Cordero, director of the Peñalolén education center, told local media that the piece was made from “muriatic acid and aluminum foil that he placed in a bottle.”

Shortly after the explosion, emergency teams, local officials and police rushed to the school. According to Cordeiro, the student responsible for the incident was detained and in a video posted on TikTok, he allegedly learned how to make a homemade explosive.

The municipality of Peñalolén said on its official Twitter account: “Together with our health and human safety teams, we participate and support containment actions. minor injuries due to acoustic and some dermatological traumas“.
