Google has started working on a Gemini-based AI assistant for smartphones. With its help, the company aims to personalize the Google Assistant experience on the Pixel.
Google has begun developing its AI personal assistant, Pixie, based on the Gemini AI model. This was reported by La Información.
Pixie’s goal will be to personalize the Google Assistant experience on Pixel 9 smartphones. Google Assistant is already present on Android smartphones, but Google wants to make Pixie exclusive to flagship Pixel models. Google may introduce the Pixie AI assistant next year along with the unveiling of the Pixel 9 smartphones.
Pixie is expected to be more advanced than the existing Google Assistant and will be able to tell the user, for example, where a product can be purchased in the image nearby. Pixie will also be able to work autonomously without a constant Internet connection.
