Arthur Sarkisov, who previously held the position of the company’s vice president of operations and business development, has been appointed chief executive of grocery delivery service SberMarket, SberMarket said in a statement. Before Sarkisov, since 2018, the co-founder of the service, Asan Kurmanguzhin, was in charge of managing the company.

SberMarket has changed its CEO for the first time since 2018

Sarkisov will focus on the overall management of the company, reinforcing its leadership in the e-grocery segment and SberMarket’s entry into a new segment of restaurant prepared food delivery.

The new CEO of SberMarket joined the company in June 2018 as Director of Regional Development, and in August of the same year he was appointed Vice President of Operations. In March 2020, Sarkisov assumed the role of Vice President of Operations and Business Development.

Asan Kurmanguzhin, who has been in charge of managing the company since 2018, “will continue to help SberMarket with the development of the management team,” the report says.
