Russia has created the first cloud-based medical data platform for research using artificial intelligence. 18 million medical documents were uploaded to the platform. The service was developed by Sechenov University, Yandex Cloud and Beltel Datanomics.
The solution is designed to help researchers, medical professionals, as well as students and graduate students of Sechenov University determine the effectiveness of treatment approaches and developers create AI-based services in the field of medicine and medical care.
In 2024, more than a thousand specialists will have access to the platform. The system automatically selects, upon request, relevant information and documents containing links to the necessary medical studies. For example, x-rays, test results, CT scans, and MRIs.
How the platform works
The service searches for material using keywords, during the search you can enable a filter that takes into account up to 150 parameters. These are age, sex, symptoms, etc.
For example, you can request data on all recorded cases of diabetes in patients aged 20 to 50 years and collect cases of patients with elevated creatinine in a certain range of values.
The solution was developed and implemented by Beltel Datanomics. It is planned that new data sources will be connected to the platform in the future.
