Russian developers filed around 30.5 thousand patent applications between January and November 2023, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%. Companies are actively filling the niches of departed foreign suppliers. Rospatent told Vedomosti about it.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development, since the beginning of the year, 4.3 thousand solutions have been included in the national software registry, 16% more than last year. At the same time, software is three times more likely to be deregistered. Most of the excluded solutions are records of the same type from one company, that is, the individual names were removed and collected into one registry entry.
The number of new IT solutions and companies on the Russian market is really growing, both completely new companies and IT divisions that have spun off from foreign companies that left the Russian Federation, noted Vyacheslav Vanyulin, general director of Auriga LLC.
In this context, the demand for legal support services and preparation of documents for the registration of intellectual property has increased. According to Tkach and Partners, almost 80% of the requests were related to technology, software and scientific developments.
