In Italy, starting February 14, 2024, Russian companies will be allowed to purchase unauthorized products for rubles. Until that time, the parties will work to correct any “financial issues” that hinder them, Prime writes.
Such a system would allow the buyer to pay for Italian products in rubles, and the Italo-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRTC) itself, from its account in a third country, could transfer this money to Italy. Armenia was chosen as the third country. Transit through it is transparent and acceptable in terms of total cost, highlighted the head of the IRTP, Ferdinando Pelazzo.
Now the chamber is trying to open an account in an Armenian bank, but has encountered some difficulties: Armenia is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, it has joined the Minsk Convention, so when translating documentation it is necessary to involve translators accredited at the Armenian embassy.
