The Malina VC venture fund, launched in December 2023, invested 15 million rubles in the fintech startup Mfpay, which allows you to organize your own crypto accounting. This is what the managing partner of the fund, Antón Pronin, told RB.RU.

Fintech startup Mfpay for managing cryptocurrency payments raised 15 million rubles from Malina VC

The transaction was carried out in SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) format. Mfpay founder Roman Gorobchenko believes the next round of investment could value the project at $10 million.

Mfpay was launched in January 2023. The company offers its customers a universal payment profile where they can issue invoices, send payments, collect analytics and run reports. According to our own data, in the first months of operation the number of monthly transactions exceeded 2 thousand.

The service operates through a system of smart contracts. Users do not need to create intermediate wallets where they can deposit and withdraw funds. The merchant receives payment instantly to the specified wallet and the invoice can be paid from any convenient wallet, without registering in the service.

Currently, Mfpay charges a flat fee of 1 USDT for any transaction. Starting in 2024, the service will introduce a subscription fee for different user groups, depending on the services the customer needs.

In 2024, the company plans to enter the Southeast Asian (SEA) markets by connecting a partner bank. The constitution of the main holding company will also occur in Southeast Asia.
