Yandex moved the yandex.kz servers to Kazakhstan. This was reported to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic.
The Yandex team in Kazakhstan delivered the necessary equipment for the servers to the country and put it into operation. The company successfully tested the operation of the servers and completely transferred the work of Yandex.kz to them, the department said.
“Moving servers to the country is an important step. This means that our users’ data will be processed in Kazakhstan,” said the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan.
The yandex.kz domain was temporarily blocked in Kazakhstan in the summer of 2023 because its servers were not located in the country.
