Upon closer inspection, officers discovered 100 old iPhones carefully taped and hidden around the passenger’s waist, thighs and calves. All of the seized phones appear to belong to Apple. The case is being investigated further.

Customs authorities strictly remind that trying to evade customs control by hiding, presenting a different identity, providing false information or any other means during the transportation of prohibited or restricted goods or goods subject to customs duties is smuggling. Serious crimes may lead to criminal prosecution under the law.

And not just in China.
