LG presented its new line of OLED smart TVs for 2024 this Wednesday (3). The new LG SIGNATURE OLED M4 and LG OLED G4 families promise better image processing and size options up to 97 inches.

The new models are equipped with an a11 processor with artificial intelligence (AI), which, according to LG, “actively improves the image and sound quality.” Compared to the previous component, the new chip provides 70% better graphics performance and 30% faster processing.

The highlight of the launches was the LG SIGNATURE OLED M4. The 144Hz 4K OLED model is available from 65″ to 97″. It features Zero Connect Box technology that helps eliminate cables from devices connected to the TV.

LG also highlighted webOS, the operating system for smart TVs, in the day’s announcement. The company notes that the platform now supports Matter, a key standard for smart device interoperability.

The operating system also supports AirPlay and Google Chromecast, improving content consumption options.

Ready to show at CES 2024

LG has not announced the launch date of its new smart TV series for now, but the new models will be exhibited at CES 2024. The event is scheduled to take place between January 9-12 this year.
