Intel, with the intention of expanding its presence in the generative artificial intelligence market (especially in the field of enterprise software), together with the investment company DigitalBridge is creating a new structure Articul8 AI (read Articulate AI) for the implementation of specialized AI products for business.

Intel creates new company Articul8 AI to implement generative AI solutions

The future company’s solutions were created as part of Intel’s cooperation with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), TechCrunch writes. At the beginning of May last year, the testing stage began directly in the company itself, in BCG’s data processing and information security centers.

The generative AI system, which can read text and images, was developed at Intel for two years, but only in collaboration with BCG was it finalized for real-world use.

Initially, BCG was the only supplier and customer of the system that came to market. However, over the past few months, Intel has been working to scale the platform for companies in financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, telecommunications and other industries where “high levels of security and specialized domain knowledge are required.”

“Articul8’s generative AI software product was built from the ground up to meet enterprise needs and optimized for speed of deployment, scalability, security, and sustainability, including cost,” a company spokesperson told TechCrunch on an exclusive comment.

Intel will use the Articul8 software internally and will also offer it to end customers through a joint marketing partnership.

The Articul8 platform provides access to artificial intelligence capabilities for more efficient storage, learning and analysis of customer data within the corporate security perimeter. The platform can be deployed in the cloud or in hybrid format.

The CEO of the new company will be Arun Subramanian, who previously served as vice president and general manager of the Intel Data Center & AI group. The rest of the workforce will also be made up of Intel employees, who will retain a stake in the company (the size of the assets is not disclosed). Intel and Articul8 will thus maintain a strategic partnership.

In addition to Intel and DigitalBridge, which is publicly traded and a major data center investor, Articul8 investors include Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures and Zain Group.
