One of the features found in the Nubank application was on the social media agenda on Friday afternoon (17). This is the pre-approved checkout function available on the home screen of the app as soon as the user accesses their account.
According to users, malicious people are involved in cell phone theft, card fraud, fraud, etc. The feature has a somewhat dodgy disposition within the app, as the client has easy access to pre-approved credit in certain situations.
“I know it can be taken away, but the app shouldn’t make it so obvious after so many scams popping up every week,” one user on Twitter said.
thousand fraud, card fraud and @nubank Do you think it’s good to leave the $12K CREDIT BUTTON THERE at the beginning of the application?? pic.twitter.com/IdE8DtC5KS

I made the most informed decision I could with Nubank. I asked the application to remove the credit option. I recommend everyone to do the same. It was quick and easy, just ask in the customer service chat. And if you need it in the future, ask them to release it again with confirmation.

Today I asked my nubank app to remove the “credit” option and it was super fast via the app’s own chat. I was out in 5 minutes
Here is a tip for those who are not interested in asking for a loan and want to get rid of the headache in case their cell phone is stolen.

How to disable credit shortcut in Nubank?
But after all, How can customers disable pre-approved credit button in Nubank app?? The solution is quite simple, but it cannot be done automatically and requires assistance from the company’s support.
Enter the bank’s app, access the “Help Me” option (appears as a question mark in the upper right corner of the home screen) and select the “Talk to us” option at the bottom of the page. Now just request blocking from the officials.
- Enter the Nubank application and click on your profile in the circle in the upper left corner;
- Click on “Help Me”;
- Press the “Chat with us” button at the bottom of the page;
- Contact the chat, say you want to disable the checkout button, and continue the conversation.
Fintech explains that before disabling the feature, the customer can reverse the blocking but will need to contact the company again. Also, after reactivation, the pre-approved loan amount may not be the same as the bank will conduct a new loan review.
