Apple has agreed to pay $35 million to settle a class-action lawsuit in the US that alleged the company knew about problems with the microphone not working in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Apple is now taking over the payment demands. They are only available to US residents who owned an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus from September 16, 2016 to January 3, 2023 and who reported microphone problems or paid to have the device repaired or replaced.

Those who paid for repairs can receive up to $349, others – up to $125.
