Secure Mobile: Government app records 12,500 blocking alerts in one month

Secure Mobile Phone 12,591 blocking alerts were recorded until this Friday (19), when the service completed one month. The data was announced today by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP).

Celular Seguro, which was implemented to increase the security of personal data on mobile phones, connects a system to blocking banks and operators in case the device is stolen, stolen or lost.

According to MJSP, during this period of activity, the application received registrations from 1.2 million people, 954,278 smartphones and 818,850 trusted contacts (users who can turn off the phone line at the victim’s location).

Theft is one of the main events that the application must prevent. According to the ministry, 5 thousand 496 robbery cases, 3 thousand 965 thefts and 2 thousand 549 losses were reported during this period.

• Download and install the app from Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS);
