The Starship rocket exploded three minutes after launch

The Starship super-heavy rocket exploded in the sky three minutes after launch. The moment of the explosion was captured in an online broadcast, which was made on SpaceX’s YouTube channel. Elon Musk watched the launch from Mission Control.

The spacecraft went into an uncontrolled rotation due to the fact that not all the engines turned on. An emergency situation arose at an altitude of 38 km during the separation of the first stage of the rocket.

SpaceX said that they will continue working on the Starship project after studying all the data about the incident.

The launch of the Starship launch vehicle took place today from a private spaceport in the United States. The rocket was sent to the sky only on the second attempt – the first SpaceX made on April 18, the launch was canceled a few seconds before launch. Elon Musk cited frozen pressure valves as the reason for the cancellation.
