As part of a new study, US veterinarians developed an online survey for dog owners. Here, owners could talk about their pet’s favorite TV shows. Participants also had to show their dogs four short videos of different objects in motion: cars on the road, a cougar in the forest, a bird walking on the grass, a dog walking with its owner.
More than 1,200 thousand people participated in the survey. There were people mostly from the USA but also from Canada, England and other countries.
It turned out that most of the dogs watched the video on television. Moreover, they acted actively: 78% approached the screen, 76% raised their voice. The most popular among pets were videos with other dogs.
Representatives of herding and sporting breeds enjoyed watching the video more than dogs of other breeds.
