“Incognito mode in Chrome will continue to give people the ability to browse the Internet without storing data about their activity on the browser or device,” a Google spokesperson said in a statement. But the company spokesperson also noted that “the sites you visit and the services you use, including Google,” may collect data about your browsing activity.

Google’s Web and App Activity feature is one of the main ways it collects user data. You can disable this feature.

Also, you should not use your real data in this mode or even log in to your own accounts in incognito mode.

It’s also helpful to limit your data sharing with sites and services, as Google may share your data with third-party apps and services.
