An investigation by Pindrop and other tools revealed that the fake document was most likely created using ElevenLabs technology

The deepfake, which has alarmed disinformation experts and election officials, highlights how easily such frauds can be created and the ability of attackers to influence elections.

ElevenLabs, which was recently valued at $1.1 billion after an $80 million funding round, allows the creation of voice clones of public figures for parody purposes, but does not allow unauthorized impersonations.
